About Steve

Welcome to my web site! I've written orchestral music since the mid 1970's and began writing to picture beginning in 1990. I was formally trained in composition, orchestration and arranging. My studies have gone from Fullerton College, Cal State Long Beach, and UCLA.

I've studied film composing with Don B. Ray, Gerald Fried, and Mark Watters, orchestration with Steven Scott Smalley, and jazz arranging with Tom Kubis.

I've written scores on animated television series "Tic Tac Toons", "Button Nose", and "Journey to the Heart of the World", have had cues included in the Mighty Morphin Power Ranges television program, as well as scoring the award winning digital animation short "The Baseball Card Shop" originally produced by Nickelodeon. In addition, I've written music for television commercials, radio theme songs, and animated e-cards for the Internet.

I am currently supplying music tracks to several music libraries, each of which has placed thousands of tracks on all of the major television networks and films. In addition, I am currently a staff composer for Harpo Productions which supplies music for several daytime television shows.
